“I expected that it would not happen.” “I expect it will not turn out, in the long run, like I had hoped.” Often phrases used as a realization of a disappointing outcome.
Expectation – A strong belief that something will happen.
Why not expect good things.
Yes, it takes an act of your will at times, but the belief in the hope of expectation is the key to a bright future.
For a woman, it may be the fairytale they long for.
For a man, it may be the dream job.
For a golfer, a hole in one.
For a mom, healthy and well rounded children.
Recently I was reading to my grandson Beau.
I call it Beau time.
Beau is still very young, but I have expectations for his life.
As I was holding him, I said, “Beau, you are going to be a good man, and you are going to do great things. Do not place the letter’s “im” in front of the word possible. Believe that it is possible Beau. Believe that you are part of making it possible. Expect good things.”
Which is where this thought originated.
Looking into the eyes of a little boy.
A little boy named Beau.
Expect good things.
Visualize a good outcome for your life and the lives of those around you.
When you speak, speak words of hope into the lives of those you come in contact with.
Encourage others to be bigger and better.
For me personally?
I expect good things to come my way.
I expect them to happen.
I do.
Can I determine in specific detail how my expectations will come to pass?
Not always.
Yet I believe it as though it has already happened.
When looking ahead, view your future in the following manner.
Not 10, but 20.
Not no, but yes.
As I told my grandson, “Beau, you are my expectation of great things for the future.”
A bright future indeed.
This made me stop and think awhile.
going forward I shall expect good things.
