Recently I was speaking to a group and said, “I am practicing to be a Billionaire.”
And then proceeded to go through a list of things I have in common with current billionaires, and that is why I am practicing.
Jeff Bezos – currently the richest man in the world at $112 billion does the following. If an issue comes up in a given afternoon, he will delay meeting on that issue or problem until 10:00 a.m. the following morning, in order for everyone to be fresh as they address the issue. I have begun to practice this behavior as well.
Bill Gates – currently the second richest who washes dishes after dinner, of which I have not only washed my own dishes, but also, when in the home of someone else will pitch in on their dishes as well. Bill uses his time at the sink as creative mental time. If Bill Gates can wash dishes with $90 billion then I can practice the same with considerably less in the bank.
Warren Buffett – currently in third place at $84 billion spends a considerable part of his day reading. Me too!!
Currently in 5th place is Mark Zuckerberg at $71 billion who drives a fuel efficient low carbon footprint Toyota. Me too!!
So you see, by practicing these same behaviors, I am on my way to untold wealth.
The point is, in life, set out to be the type of person you wish to be and then go about practicing those behaviors which will eventually get you there.
Wealth may be the avenue to fulfill your dreams.
It’s a mindset first, then it is working hard and walking through the doors of opportunity.
Practice makes perfect.
